The College Network’s online degree completion programs will enable AALTCN members to advance their education at their own pace from the convenience of home—saving them time, travel, and money.
“We are excited that nurses who want to achieve higher education can do so in a manner that is compatible with the realities of their work and family commitments,” offered AALTCN’s Executive Director Charlotte Eliopoulos. “Our membership represents nurses who have demonstrated a commitment to their specialty, and to afford them the opportunity to obtain college degrees in a flexible, convenient manner honors their unique capacities as adult learners and assists in retaining them in long term care nursing.” Read More on the Press Release

What is The College Network? Since 1992, The College Network, Inc. has provided busy adults with innovative educational solutions from leading universities for associate’s degrees, bachelor’s degrees, and master’s degrees. Using a blended-learning format that includes college equivalency testing plus online coursework through accredited university partners, programs can be completed without attending any classes on campus.
Will my degree be widely accepted? Yes. The degree you will earn from one of The College Network's partner universities is regionally accredited and has been accepted by hundreds of the country's most prestigious graduate institutions. Many students have gone on to work for very high profile corporations and healthcare organizations.
Will my previously-earned college credits transfer to this program? Yes! Credit hours from classes in which you earned a “C” or better, completed at any regionally accredited college or university, may be applied to your degree completion program. Because of our unique partnerships with various universities, there are no time limitations on previous general education credits in most cases. If you never have earned college credit, don't worry. The College Network and our partner universities can provide all of the courses you will need to complete your degree.
How long will it take to complete my degree program? The number of degree requirements and transfer credits you have will determine the exact length of your program. The College Network will assist you in designing a program to complete your degree at a pace that works with your schedule. Many people can complete one of our online Comprehensive Learning Modules in four to six weeks, but if you want to work at a slower pace, you can. However, our partner universities may have time restrictions for you to complete your degree once you enroll.
Are distance learning programs less expensive than traditional college programs? Yes! Distance learning programs eliminate many of the traditional expenses associated with higher education, such as excess childcare and transportation costs.
What is the cost of one of these programs? The total cost of your program is based on an evaluation of previous college credit, although it is not necessary to have college credit to begin most of our programs. A Program Advisor will complete a free evaluation and design a curriculum plan that suits your needs. Best of all, these programs are very affordable! Your Program Advisor will help you find the payment arrangement to suit your needs. Most of our customers save up to 50 percent over traditional, campus-based college degree programs.
How do I know which program is for me? You can contact The College Network to speak with a Program Advisor at 1-800-395-1014. They will help you complete a course analysis and find a program that best fits your personal goals.
What happens if I relocate? If you move to another city or state, you can take The College Network portion of your program with you. There are testing centers available in all 50 states and at numerous international facilities. If you have any questions about international testing after enrolling in the program, you may contact Academic Support at 1-800-634-1443.
